2 Corinthians 12:9
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
There was a night I was utterly exhausted, and sleep was scarce. This was one of those nights where, as a newborn mum, I was tired and desperately praying that my baby would settle and sleep.
She didn’t.
Each whisper of “LORD, please, let her sleep” was met with more crying. At some point, I began wondering if my prayer was working, perhaps, I didn’t pray enough (laughs).
But then… she did sleep.
And when I woke in the morning, I noticed something amazing. Though I hadn’t gotten enough sleep, I was amazed at how refreshed and strengthened I felt. That’s when this verse came alive in my heart:
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”
God didn’t remove the challenge immediately—He sustained me in it. I pleaded for sleep, but He gave me the grace that sufficed. This experience showed me a glimpse of what Apostle Paul must have gone through at the time this scripture was written.
God’s got you
Just like jars of clay in the hands of the Potter, we may feel fragile, but we’re never forsaken.
Sometimes, we want a way out… but He gives us the grace to stay, teaching us to trust Him every time.
He shapes us, strengthens us, and pours out His power through our weakness. We only need to humble ourselves before him, trusting in His saving grace.
Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Be Encouraged
If your prayers feel unanswered, know this — the Potter is still at work.
Even in the weariness, His grace is more than enough.

Reflection
What are you walking through today that God might be using to either change or shape you?
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for shaping me even when I feel worn. Thank You for being the Potter and for filling this jar of clay with strength I don’t have on my own. LORD, please, teach me to rest in Your grace, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
PS.
Perhaps, you’re reading this but yet to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. I want to encourage you to surrender your heart to Him today. He loves you and wants to give you a new life.
